Years ago my family was sick from from living in a home with hidden mold due to building defects.
I had experience in the construction industry but I needed to learn superior practices built on proven building science so I could build a safe and healthy home for my family.
I did that and we built our first healthy home for our family.
We started healing and that started our passion to create Glacier Peak Homes.
Now we get to build healthy and high performance homes for others. We also consult with people all over the US who are in the same position we were 8 years ago.
Our approach is comprehensive, looking at the home as a system and addressing all of the potential problems and how to avoid them throughout the building process.
We help you determine your specific health goals for your family. Some people are sensitive to mold, VOCs and EMF's. Some only want support to prevent mold. We will help you create a healthy home plan that fits your needs.

We have had the best experience working with Glacier Peak Homes on our new home.
Steve has worked so hard to ensure that our home is not only beautiful and well built, but safe from environmental toxins that could affect our health. He is knowledgeable, experienced, conscientious with all the details, and a great communicator.
We’re so happy we found a great builder, and in the process great friends as well. We’re blessed to have Glacier Peak Homes in the Flathead so if you’re reading this and looking for a contractor you can trust, call them today!
We absolutely love the home Glacier Peak Homes built.
All the interior finishes (cabinets, countertops, light fixtures and hardware) are beautiful and what we would have chosen if we were building a custom home. The trim work is outstanding with details such as mitered joints to “wrap” it around the rounded wall corners. We can’t say enough about the quality of the home.
With my husband being a retired custom home builder it’s no small compliment that he calls the structure above par! Our crawl space is completely sealed and dry, giving us extra storage space. We love everything about our home and appreciate the ability to ask questions.
While I haven't built a home with Glacier Peak Homes, I have consulted with Steve extensively on a home we're building elsewhere. Not only is he knowledgeable and kind, he offers real world solutions that make sense in today's economy and post-Covid building climate.
We have worked with some big names in the 'green/healthy home' world, but unfortunately we either couldn't get anyone who would implement their suggestions, or the cost was too extreme for it to make sense.
If we lived close to Kalispell we would not hesitate to build with Glacier Peak.
